About Us
Making Macomb County a better place to live, John Vesper has been a part of its growth since the late 1970s. It was in 1976 when Mr. Vesper opened his first store, Interiors By Mary, in Warren at 12 Mile and Ryan. His success has driven since.
1976
John Vesper opened Interiors By Mary in Warren, a full service decorating and remodeling business.
1978
John marries Nancy and together they both work hard at creating and improving the quality of Interiors By Mary. The shop relocates to the Hitching Post shopping center at 16 Mile and Garfield in Clinton Township.
1981
John started his first construction project: Bridgewood Center on Garfield Road between 17 Mile and 18 Mile in Clinton Township.
1985
Vesper Construction is officially recorded. Vesper builds Friar Tucks restaurant Warren at 12 Mile and Ryan.
1986
Clinton Oaks Professional Plaza is built on Garfield between Canal Road and 19 Mile in Clinton Township. The six buildings total over 90,000 square feet combined.
1987
The Foam Factory was built on 16 Mile Road and Van Dyke in Sterling Heights, over 10,000 square feet.
1988
Vena Professional Center is built on Garfield and 19 Mile in Clinton Township. The two one-story buildings total 32,000 square feet.
Rosewood Village Condominiums at Canal and Clinton River Road in Clinton Township are developed and built.
Glenbrook Meadows Condominiums at 16 Mile and Grosebeck in Clinton Township are developed and built.
Venice Square Plaza (back building and south side building), were built on Garfield and Canal Road.
1989
Interiors By Mary and Vesper Construction relocate their offices to the newly built Rosewood Center on Garfield and Canal Road in Clinton Township.
1992
Vena Medical and Office Center at 19 Mile and Dalcoma (near St. Joseph Hospital) in Clinton Township is built. This is the first two-story building for Vesper Construction. The building totals over 18,000 square feet.
1993
Vesper develops and builds Meadow Creek Homes, a 21 Lot subdivision at Heydenreich Road and Dunham Road in Clinton Township. These custom homes are the first of their kind in a wooded subdivision.
1995
Pinewood Office Center is built at 22 Mile and Schoenher in Shelby Township. This medical facility totals 14,000 square feet.
Vesper Construction develops a 160 lot subdivision, Stags Leap, off of Heydenreich between 22 and 23 Mile Roads in Macomb Township.
Vesper Construction develops Wolverine Trace Subdivision at Romeo Plank Road and 25 Mile in Macomb Township.
Vesper Construction builds its first light industrial park, Eagle Park in Clinton Township on Groesbeck and 16 Mile with over 15,000 square feet of space split between two buildings.
2001
Vesper Construction builds Silver Oaks South office buildings at 19 Mile and Dequindre in Sterling Heights. The two buildings total over 15,000 square feet.
Vesper Construction builds Trillium Office Center at 16 Mile and Garfield, the second two-story building, over 36,000 square feet.
2005
Vesper Construction develops and builds Creekside Manor Estates in off of Kelly Road and 15 Mile in Clinton Township.
Vesper develops a parcel of land at 14 Mile and Grosebeck and builds a light industrial office building for Sweeney Insulation.
2006
Vesper Construction builds Deerfield Office Center at 17 Mile and Mound. These two buildings total over 12,000 square feet.
During the early years of commercial building, Vesper also worked on numerous single family homes.
2014
Vesper Construction builds small light industrial building in Roseville, MI
Vesper Construction builds Countryside Plaza in Clinton Township, MI. In the same year, Vesper Construction developed and built Sandusky Center in Sandusky, MI.
...And we're still growing
I wonder what the furture holds for The Vesper Companies. We will just have to wait to see.
